Long Island oil tank abandonment will file the paperwork with either Nassau County or Suffolk County health department (whichever County you are located in) to obtain the necessary permit. Then we will excavate the ground to the top part of the oil tank. We then will cut open the top of the tank and remove any and all oil and sludge. We will scrape the interior surface of the tank and remove the cap, fill, vent, supply and return lines. Once it is fully clean we will fill the tank with gravel or sand.
